Forty-five more South Mississippi homes sold in March than in February, but at an average price of $2,000 less. A report issued this week by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Multiple Listing Service shows the spring rush to list properties has begun. As historically happens in March, the number of new listings increased, this year by 122 compared with February. This is 17 fewer than were listed in March 2013 and could show the Coast is following the national trend of a tightening inventory. For the first three months of the year, 132 fewer new listings have come onto the market than in 2013.
